Close-Range Photogrammetric Data Reduction Scheme
Publication: Journal of the Surveying and Mapping Division
Volume 94, Issue 2
Abstract
The described data reduction scheme evolved in the course of research work on the development of data acquisition systems for strain and deflection measurements of structural models under test conditions. The scheme was made as general as possible to enable its use in other areas of application. It is capable of handling normal, convergent, and tilted photography, and is divided into 4 phases: (1) Image coordinate refinement; (2) formation of the stereomodel; (3) generation of the elliposid of errors for any point within the stereomodel; and (4) transformation of coordinates. Programs based on this scheme are readily adaptable to medium size electronic computers. The coordinate system and output of the WILD STK-1 Stereocomparator (x,y,px, py) are adapted in this scheme.
