Abstract
Usual laborious methods require squaring, multiplication, and division of large figures; proposed new method is self-checking and well adapted to use with ordinary calculating machine; it is especially useful in bridge work, with skewed structures on complicated layouts which involve time consuming and lengthy calculations.
