Bank Erosion in Soils of the Lower Mississippi Valley

Abstract
The influences which sedimentary deposits along the Lower Mississippi River have on bank failure will be described herein. Failures, in general, are determined by a combination of the natural tendencies of river flow and the geology of the setting. This seemingly simple relationship involves a multiplicity of factors the more important of which will be explored herein.
