Abstract
Theoretical and experimental studies of problems of one dimensional waves in inelastic soil media; experiments to determine dynamic stress strain diagram of material; one dimensional method for calculating complex nonlinear and inelastic stress strain relationships; applications to underground shelter design are considered.
