Abstract
The approach being taken by the Sanitary Engineering Research Committee in pointing out research needs is described. The seven subject areas are listed: (1) water resources; (2) water treatment; (3) municipal wastewater; (4) industrial wastewater; (5) solid wastes; (6) air pollution; and (7) environmental health. Fourteen research needs within the areas of Municipal Wastewater and Solid Wastes are described.
