Effects of Aeration Period on Modified Aeration

Abstract
Owls Head plant of New York City's sewage system uses Modified Aeration process; first four years of operation described; plant operation tested; effects of aeration period are evaluated; region of operation for modified aeration process from aero detention time to minimum necessary full treatment is defined; tables of results given.
