Abstract
A commentary to support the Tentative Recommendations for Cable-Stayed Bridge Structures. The material presented is intended to explain and substantiate the information presented in the Recommendations by presenting more detailed information, data, and references for the more salient topics, thus presenting the rationale for the recommendations presented. Topics discussed are plans and drawings, loads and forces, design assumptions, analysis, deflections, cables, saddles and end fittings, fabrication, fatigue, and aerodynamics.
