Abstract

A rational approach is taken in evaluating the occupants comfort in tall buildings under wind-induced motion and other types of vibration. Various factors that might cause human discomfort are considered separately and jointly. Related research in the past, available experimental data, and actual experience in several existing tall buildings are referred to. Tentative criteria for human comfort are also suggested.
