Abstract
A state-of-the-art report on the analysis, design, and erection of cable-suspended roofs. Paper is divided into four parts. Shapes of suspension systems and examples of cable-suspended roofs are described in Part I. Part II is concerned with the structural analysis of suspension systems. The manufacture of wire cables and their physical properties is discussed in Part III. Part IV is concerned with the design and erection of cable-suspended structures. Needed research is described.
