The Ideal Multifunctional Constructural Material

Abstract

A multifactor optimization technique is used to define a multifunctional material that serves not only as a structural material but also as a sound and heat controlling material as well. The feasibility of satisfying certain structural, sound transmission and heat transmission requirements with a single homogeneous material is investigated.
