Diagonal Cracking in Prestressed Concrete Beams

Abstract
The results of experimental and analytical studies on shear strength of prestressed concrete beams without web reinforcement and tested under either two-point or uniform loading are presented. A semiempirical characteristic equation is developed for the flexure-shear cracking load. Formulation of the web-shear cracking load is based on a failure criterion under combined stresses.
