Abstract
Closed-form solutions are presented for a variety of transverse symmetric and asymmetric loadings on a circular curved beam fixed at the ends to prevent twist and slope. Besides the application for the analysis of beams along the rim of circular balconies, cantilevered circular buildings, and circular machinery pedestals, it could be used for an approximate solution of column-supported circular rings, stands, and staircase stringers. The concise solutions of the symmetric loading are listed in a table.
