Drainage System Design and Analysis by Computer
Publication: Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division
Volume 100, Issue 3
Abstract
Two programs were developed for using the computer to design subsurface drainage systems for irrigated areas. The first program calculates drain spacings using the transient flow method for irrigated lands of Dumm, Moody, and Tapp. The second program provides drainage system layouts in an area requiring drainage for any specified drain spacing and drain depth. Using these two programs, all input parameters can be investigated and the effect of their variance on both drain spacing and system cost can be found.
