Ceramic Drainage Made from Soil Fused in Situ
Publication: Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division
Volume 95, Issue 3
Abstract
This note points out the possibility of fusing soil in situ to construct draintile and other water conveyance structures. Applying sufficient heat at a high temperature to a soil surface will fuse individual soil particles together, thus decreasing the porosity and permeability of the soil but increasing structural durability.
