Water-Quality Management in Irrigation Systems

Abstract

When a virgin watershed is subjected to a natural sequence of hydrologic events, an equilibrium tends to be established between the rate of production by weathering of soluble mineral constituents and the rate of export of these constituents through surface and ground-water channels to the sea.
