Installation of Drain Tile for Subsurface Drainage

Abstract
Soil Conservation Service provided technical assistance on installation of 24,059 mi of tile drains during 1959 fiscal year; tile used in surface drainage and current procedures in making drainage investigations; recent changes in ASTM specifications for clay and concrete drain tile are discussed; use of concrete tile under acid and alkali conditions; recommendations for gravel filter requirements.
