Factors in Selection of Pieve Di Cadore and Fedaia Dams
Abstract
Criteria adopted in choice of Pieve di Cadore Dam on River Piave, and Fedaia Dam on Upper Avisio, Italy; in case of first dam preliminary choice was made by examination as to suitability of locations from morphological, geognostic, static and economic point of view, and functional use of reservoir and power plant; this dam was built more than 10 yr ago and second dam was finished in 1956.
