Abstract
The results of an experimental study on the influence of boundary conditions on the elastic buckling behavior of spherical shells are presented. Eighty-seven uniform pressure tests on small-scale polyvinyl chloride shells include as variable parameters the shell thickness, base radius, edge restraint condition, and edge force disturbance.
