Abstract
Although direct theoretical connection between Lagrangian correlation (Lc) and Eulerian correlation (Ec) coefficients was not found, it is shown that empirical relation can be established; Ec coefficients from hot-wire anemometer measurements are compared with Lc coefficients derived from diffusion measurements in homogeneous turbulent flow; from this comparison, relation is found that permits direct prediction of turbulent diffusion from hot-wire (Eulerian) measurements of turbulent field.
