Abstract

Use of curb opening inlets for conveying water from road surfaces into storm drainage systems; theoretical problem concerns open channel, on continuous grade of triangular cross section, one side of which is nearly vertical and at distance, enough to establish uniform flow conditions, this vertical side ends abruptly; new formulas for flow conditions are derived and experimental verification is given.
