Ultimate Strength Criteria for Reinforced Concrete

Abstract
Criteria derived by determining analytically value of extreme compression edge strain which results in maximum value of moment or load; following rectangular members are considered: homogeneous beams, reinforced concrete beams, and eccentrically loaded reinforced concrete columns; ultimate strength so derived is in agreement with tests.
