Lewis and Clark Lake Mosquito Control Recommendations

Publication: Journal of the Environmental Engineering Division
Volume 104, Issue 4

Abstract

Mosquitoes are the principal transmitters of vector-borne diseases associated with impoundments for water resource developments. The Lewis and Clark Lake provided examples of a variety of larval mosquito habitats typically associated with impoundments. Methods for preventing and minimizing mosquito production by modifying the habitats, by water management, and by integrated control are examined and recommended.
