Abstract
The overland flow pretreatment process for poultry manure resulted in 77%, 69%, 66% and 56% mass reduction of COD, TOC, TKN, and TP, respectively, after 30 m of flow. In comparison, flow length produced greater waste removal than extending the between-loading rest period or than changes in loading rate.
