Abstract
The Titan intercontinental ballistic missle was the first strategic weapon system selected by the United States Air Force for emplacement in launch facilities sufficiently hardened to withstand the effects of near-miss nuclear blasts. In connection with water supplies for these bases, examined are the water supply explorations that were accomplished, the considerations in the treatment of such water supplies, and the unique problem of controlling the flow of waters with an elevated temperature and high pressure from artesian wells at two of the bases. It is concluded that the Titan ICBM missile bases have assured supplies of water, and that the data available for study in contemplating any future water supplies at these general areas have been increased and enhanced as a result of the explorations accomplished in connection with these water supplies.
