Concrete Addition to Cellular Sheet Pile Shipway

Abstract
Construction of first nuclear powered aircraft carrier necessitated lengthening of submerged Shipway No. 11; additional length of 100 ft to existing cellular sheet piling structure was provided by sinking reinforced concrete trapezoidal shaped cofferdam with aid of open dredged wells.
