Managing to be Regulated— Without being Regulated to Death
Publication: Engineering Issues: Journal of Professional Activities
Volume 103, Issue 4
Abstract
The two great concerns of energy and environment are agitating our world on all sides. While the public's attention may eventually go elsewhere for news, massive forces have been set in motion by these two concerns which will not cease until equally massive changes have occurred. The biggest changes may include not only the control of pollution and the development of new forms of energy but the control of technological change itself. The skillful handling of these changes will increasingly become a factor in the success or failure of any enterprise.
