Abstract
This paper examines the key features in urban planning in the context of man, nature, and technology. It reviews major public issues and emerging views of urban planning. It presents some ideas on the evolution and development of urban planning as a method of problem solving and public policy analysis as well as land-use and physical planning. It also comments briefly on the education of future professionals for urban planning.
