Pore Pressure Rise During Cyclic Loading of Sands
Publication: Journal of the Geotechnical Engineering Division
Volume 108, Issue 2
Abstract
A new model for the quantitative determination of the pore pressure increase during undrained cyclic loading of saturated loose sands is proposed. The model depends on four parameters which are determined from undrained cyclic loading tests. It is shown that the parameters should be determined from tests where the conditions are representative of the actual loading conditions.
