Sand Drains: Additional Design Criteria

Abstract
The purpose of this technical note is to give design charts for testing the significance of well resistance. The possibility of reduction in the degree of consolidation due to the incapability of the smaller-diameter sand drains to drain off all water squeezed out of the consolidating soft clay stratum is also examined.
