Specimen Preparation and Cyclic Stability of Sands
Publication: Journal of the Geotechnical Engineering Division
Volume 103, Issue 6
Abstract
The cyclic structural stability of sands, as determined by the cyclic triaxial strength test, has been studied in detail during the past 10 yr (3,4,5,7,8,9,17,18). However, prior to 1974 (6), insufficient attention was given to the effects of the various specimen preparation methods on the cyclic behavior of reconstituted sands.
