Influence of Compaction Temperature on Full Depth Reclamation Strength and Fracture
Publication: International Conference on Transportation and Development 2024
ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the effect of compaction temperature of full depth reclamation materials using Hamburg Wheel Tracking Test (HWTT) and semi-circular bending test (SCB). Hamburg Wheel Tracking Test (HWTT) is a test method related to the permanent deformation of FDR material. Semi-circular bending test (SCB) is related to fracture energy of FDR. Results show that increase in compaction temperature led to a smaller permanent deformation. Higher compaction temperatures lead to higher fracture energy needed to an initiate crack.
