A Design of Intelligent Foreign Object Intrusion Detection System in Subway Station Track Area

Publication: ICTE 2019

ABSTRACT

The rapid development of urban rail transit has brought convenience to people's lives. The installation of the platform screen doors (PSD) of the subway station provides passengers with a safe and comfortable waiting environment. The space requirements of the subway running track area are very strict. However, there is a hidden danger that the subway station platform has a foreign object thrown into the track to affect the driving safety. Therefore, in response to this hidden danger, this paper proposes a design scheme for intelligent foreign object intrusion detection system in the subway station track area. We use sensors to collect and transmit data and combine the intelligent algorithm to process the scanned data in real time. If there is any foreign object detected, an audible and visual alarm will be sent to remind the staff to confirm. The system can effectively alleviate the pressure on the staff and improve the safety of the station.
