Mechanical Behavior and Analysis of Pile-Plank Composite Structure

Publication: ICTE 2019

ABSTRACT

The pile-plank composite structure combined with the characteristics of expressway load has been applied in the reconstruction and expansion projects of expressways. Taking a six-span pile-plank composite structure as the research object, a finite element software ANSYS is used to establish the simulation model to better study the mechanical behavior of the pile-plank composite structure. Through lots of analytical calculations, parameters such as crack width, deflection, and bearing capacity of the structure at different limit states meet the requirements of the specifications. According to the advantages and the mechanical behavior of the pile-plank composite structures, this new type of the composite structure could be widely promoted to the reconstruction and expansion projects of expressways.
