Publication: International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure 2019: Leading Resilient Communities through the 21st Century

ABSTRACT

Fighting corruption in all its forms is an important component of the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs). Corruption in the construction sector is of particular concern as it affects providing the sustainable infrastructure needed to support achievement of the goals. SDG 16 specifically addresses corruption. The UN and its members and the engineering/construction industry have been active in taking actions and implementing programs to address corruption in the construction sector.
