Abstract
The current metro transfer hub station exists for peak facilities through lack of capacity and congestion. This paper focuses on the characteristics of pedestrian traffic at the subway station, the platform, the transfer channel, and the transition staircase. We established the maximum benefit function of transfer time and suggested several improvements to the present transfer hub transfer mode. We also studied the pedestrian flow to improve the traditional model by considering the pedestrian density and facilities through the transfer time benefit maximization function ability. Lastly, we propose a model for calculating the accuracy and practicability of transfer time to improve efficiency of transfer. A visualization of time spent in the step transfer process will allow facility improvement, improve the transfer efficiency, and provide a reference for future transfer station facilities design and operation organization.
