Abstract
Bike sharing takes advantage of the internet, with more accessibility to users and convenience of parking, so it becomes a popular mode choice. It originated from colleges where college students are one of the primary user groups. However, there are few studies on bike sharing travel behavior, especially on the view of the relationship between students’ characteristics and their bike sharing travel behavior. This paper studies the college students’ travel behavior of bike sharing in Jiaxing, including travel frequency, travel purpose, and travel time. According to students’ gender, grade, exercise condition, leisure place, activity preference, and private scooter, K-means clustering is used to classify college students. The paper summarizes the characteristics of different types of students, and researches travel frequency, travel purpose, and travel time of bike sharing among different types of students. It is found that different types of college students have different travel behavior of bike sharing.
