Abstract
Accompanied by the increase in the number of vehicles, congestion has become the most serious problem of the weaving area of the urban expressway. In order to solve the congestion problem, through controlling clearance between vehicles in the weaving area for another vehicle to change lanes, the cooperative traffic between the vehicle changing lanes and the vehicle on the target lane was realized. Based on the NaSch model, a method of controlling vehicles to change lanes is established. Matlab is used to realize the control and simulation of the vehicles changing lanes in the weaving area of the urban expressway under connected vehicle environment. Simulation results show that the control strategy can increase the mean speed of the vehicle and improve the capacity of the weaving area.
