Abstract
This paper aims at investigating an integrated intelligent driver model and its linear stability analysis for mixed traffic flow based on a microscopic traffic model, integrating a Markov chain representation of spatial distribution of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and human-driven vehicles (HVs), market penetration rate of CAVs, and power cooperation between two consecutive vehicles. Numerical simulations in various scenarios are performed to show how these three factors affect the stability of mixed traffic flow. It is found that the traffic flow stability performance can be improved in these three dimensions and the results of linear stability analysis are in good agreement.
