Research on Multi-Objective Optimization Method for Flexible Customized Bus Lines

Publication: CICTP 2019

Abstract

By exploring the characteristics of customized bus services and combining the actual needs of travelers, this paper studies a multi-objective optimization method for flexible and customized bus lines. With the highest service rate, highest attendance rate and shortest route length as optimization goals, and the lowest attendance rate, lowest route bypass rate, and non-repetition of the same route as restrictions, the flexible customized bus route planning model is adopted, and the adaptive ant colony algorithm is adopted. With an example, the model and the algorithm were verified, and the overall optimal planning scheme was obtained. The results show that the multi-objective optimization method of flexible customized bus lines proposed in this paper can meet the requirements of operators, travelers, and overall planning. It can be applied to the practice of customized bus services to improve the attractiveness of public transportation and ensure the profitability of public transportation companies.
