Three-Dimensional Comprehensive Analysis of Transportation Network Operation Conditions

Abstract
To evaluate and analyze comprehensive operation characteristics of transportation networks, a three-dimensional evaluation indication system is proposed in this paper. The proposed evaluation indication system is composed by temporal dimension, spatial dimension, and intensity dimension with the indexes of travel time ratio, travel time ratio deviation coefficient, and high travel time ratio duration, respectively. Then, the computation models of the proposed evaluation indexes are deducted, and a multi-dimensional index fusion approach is established to integrate indexes into one comprehensive evaluation value. The numerical results from comparing the performance of 10 large-scale cities justify the validity and usefulness of the proposed evaluation indication system and the related index computation models.
