A Study of Simulation on Driving Cycle of Pure Electric Bus

Abstract
In order to propose a simulation method for the driving cycle of a purely electric bus, the research takes an operation line in Xi’an as example. It collects the real-time speed spectrum and operation data using VBOX3i, proposes to treat a single process from starting to stopping in inter-stations as a motion segment, and uses it to match the actual driving cycle and simulate the entire round trip. The simulation parameters are extracted. The test field is determined and parameters such as power consumption were tested. Finally, the test results are compared with the operation data, which were corrected in consideration of the driving skills and the number of passengers. The result shows the deviation of the energy-saving skills can be up to 3%, and the deviation of the power consumption is less than 3%, which verifies the feasibility and stability of the simulation method.
