Abstract
Hunan Province plans to initiate larger scale construction of "3+5" city group on the basis of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan integration, in order to further enhance the radiation function of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan integration, and to lead the development of surrounding areas,. The construction strategy is to make the central growth pole in Hunan Province's rising, which demands the ports of the pan-Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan "3+5" city group ports form rational port groups. The status and main functions of every port in port groups should be determined with primary-secondary order, clear levels, and complementary functions. Gini coefficient and Hofer index are utilized to make quantitative reasearch to the spatial structures of ports in the pan-Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan "3+5" city group, which could give reference for the port planning in the economic integration of "3+5" city group, fully exert the integral beneficial function of "3+5" city group, and provide construction reference for other port groups in China.
