Abstract
The purpose of the project was to develop a manual of recommended due-diligence practices for water utility critical infrastructure information protection. Tasks undertaken in the project included: (1) literature review of information management laws and policies, (2) statutory review of state FOIA laws, (3) comparative review of information security practices from other sectors, (4) interviews with managers from selected water utilities, and (5) development of a interactive information categorization decision tool.
