Study on the Current State of Stream Restoration Monitoring Protocols across the Country

Publication: World Environmental and Water Resources Congress 2007: Restoring Our Natural Habitat

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop stream monitoring guidelines to assist land owners (such as State Departments of Transportation) who are involved in stream restoration projects. This document discusses the results of a survey on current stream monitoring protocols used by States throughout the Country, provides detailed case studies to highlight protocols, and presents recommendations on future monitoring protocol development.
