Sensitivity Analysis of Model Predictions for Phosphorus Transport in Watersheds

Abstract

A straightforward sensitivity analysis method was applied to SWAT2000 model predictions for phosphorus transport in an Upstate New York watershed. The method examined parameters one-at-a-time to determine which, by themselves, affect output the greatest. Sensitivity indices were calculated for 216 parameters with respect to soluble phosphorus yield. The 20 most sensitive parameters were presented and brief descriptions provided.
