Abstract
This paper provides an overview of Gwinnett County's ongoing watershed protection program and describes the implementation of several proposed projects whose goal is to improve water quality and aquatic habitat. These projects include two wet detention ponds, Lakes Marie and Wethersfield, and a stream restoration project located on a tributary of Bromolow Creek. A summary of each project's goals, an overview of the design, and a review of the estimated project benefits and costs of each will be presented. The goals of each project are intended to be consistent with Gwinnett's watershed protection program, which has now gone full circle from planning to implementation.
