Critical Success/Failure Factors in Implementation of Web-BasedConstruction Project Management Systems
Publication: Construction Research Congress: Wind of Change: Integration and Innovation
Abstract
This paper focuses on Web-Based Project Management Systems (WPMS) which can be rented or leased from application service providers (ASP) for a usage fee. These systems are referred to as "Project Management — Application Service Providers (PM-ASP)". The paper discusses an ongoing research effort to develop an analytical model to capture the critical success/failure factors of PM-ASP implementation in construction firms. This model is intended for planning and management of PM-ASP implementations, and for promoting the possibility of a successful widespread adoption of PM-ASP applications in the construction industry.
