On p. 1376, the sentence following Eq. (36) should read:
“Second, unless the consistency condition in (15) is satisfied, a return mapping on to the yield surface is imposed along the direction of the trial elastic stress σ¯t+δtj.”
On p. 1376, Eq. (37) should be replaced, and a new paragraph should be added, as follows:
σt+δtj=σt+EeΔεt+δtjσ¯ef(σ¯efσy)(σ¯2+3τ¯2)σ¯t+δtj+Hσ¯ef3(σ¯efσy)(Hσ¯ef2+Eσ¯2+9Gτ¯2)(σ¯2+3τ¯2)σ¯t+δtj
(37)
where σ¯ and τ¯ = components of σ¯t+δtj and σ¯ef=σ¯2+3τ¯2. According to the third term in the preceding equation, the trial stresses are scaled onto the yield surface. It should be noted that the yield surface is not a circle, and the term radial is used loosely herein to indicate the direction toward the center of the yield surface. The last term considers the extension of the yield surface because of strain hardening.”
In Figs. 11, 13, 14, and 16, the vertical axes should be dimensionless; however, the units of the vertical axes were written incorrectly in millimeters.
