General Discussion and Practical Implications

The achieved rotational speed equation was calibrated on real turbines that are the result of fluid dynamic calculations, including cavitation verification. Therefore, this study tried to include in one linear equation all the complexity of a reaction turbine. Nevertheless, being the discrepancy between the predicted speed value and the real one is slightly greater than 10%, it is recommended to verify cavitation and, eventually, to choose a lower rotational speed.
