The following correction should be made to “Early Detection of Honeycombs in Concrete Pavement Using GPR” by Theresa McCabe, Ece Erdogmus, Antony Kodsy, and George Morcous, https://doi.org/10.1061/(ASCE)CF.1943-5509.0001547:
Units for the dimensions of the slabs tested are missing in the original paper. The correct dimensions are () for the first slab (page 04020138-2), () for the second slab (page 04020138-4), and () for the third slab (page 04020138-6).
On page 04020138-2, the embedded depths identified in the following sentence, “The slab included small artificial air voids varying in dimensions from 1.27 to 3.81 cm (0.5–1.5 in.), and they were embedded at depths of 1.27, 2.54, 3.16, 5.08, and 7.62 cm (0.5, 1, 1.25, 2, 3 in.)…” should be replaced with the correct embedded depths of 1.27, 2.54, and 3.16 cm (0.5, 1, 1.25 in.).
On page 04020138-2, the 1.5-GHz ground-coupled antenna was identified as a “SIT 3000” but this should be a “SIR 3000” ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system.
On page 04020138-3, “assuming” should be replaced by “with” in the following sentence “GPR was able to detect the reinforcement and two unidentified anomalies at a depth of 12.7 cm (5 in.), assuming a dielectric constant of 6.25.”
On page 04020138-4, the vertical axis in Fig. 9 should read 0.0, 5.0, and 10.0.
On page 04020138-9, the units in Fig. 22’s horizontal and vertical axes are meters, not inches.
The final sentence of the acknowledgements section should read, “The authors are also grateful for the assistance of graduate student Sepehr Pashoutani, who helped scan the first pavement, and lab technician Peter Hilsabeck, who helped cast and core slab specimens.”
To preserve the published version of record, these details have been corrected only in this erratum.
